The Employee Appreciation Board recently recognized the ongoing efforts of Academic Advancement Center.

The AAC is home to several federal grant programs that assist and empower students to succeed in college and beyond.

“Through all the ups and downs with federal funding, they have been unwavering in their support and dedication to students,” said Miel McCarthy, who nominated the AAC staff for recognition. “The AAC creates a welcoming and inclusive environment for students to work toward their dreams. Their commitment to students and building partnerships across campus makes campus a better environment for students and colleagues.”

Mary Ann Lucero, executive director of the Academic Advancement Center, responded to the recognition, saying, “This is a wonderful surprise, and knowing the nomination is coming from one of our closest campus partners is a highlight!”
